Jeanne’s kindergarten initiative has made public kindergarten a reality for over 25,000 additional children and the innovative children’s health insurance program she launched has extended affordable health coverage to tens of thousands of New Hampshire children. And when the recession hit New Hampshire in 2002, she successfully fought to increase state unemployment benefits for laid-off workers.
